Road Trip!

We went to exciting Winslow, Arizona, for a Stars dance competition last weekend. Winslow is one of those Route 66 town that almost died when the Interstate 40 came to town (a la Radiator Springs in Pixar's Cars).

This country is full of cool things that would never make it on your list of hot vacation spots.

Navajo Bridges (old and new) over the Colorado in Marble Canyon. Very cool.

Meteor Crater

Looking for Hopi pottery shards at ruins near the Little Colorado. (There were 700-year-old shards all over the place, by the way.)

Hiking outside Page

Mary-Ka-- , er, Olivia late after a full day of dancing

And, of course, standin' on a corner in Winslow, Arizona. (Think The Eagles' "Take It Easy".)

(Not sure what happened to my first comment, so if this is posted twice....sorry!)

Sounds like a great trip! It is one of the things on my checklist to visit meteor crater someday...so I'm glad that you got to do that.

Love to find off the beaten path places. We'll have to check it out.
